Coronavirus/COVID-19 Update

Currently, Florida Vacation Homes have no plans on canceling bookings and services. For many, private accommodations such as vacation homes and condos offer the social distancing they need during their travels.

There is a lot to do in the Orlando area, please follow the guidelines given by the World Health Organization for dos and don’ts. Themeparks and other entertainment may not be open to full capacity. Please make sure to check for ticket availability and visitor guidelines ahead of your visit.

What to do before booking a vacation rental

  • Review local travel recommendations and restrictions in addition to following guidance from the World Health Organization.
  • Review the Florida Vacation Homes cancellation policies.
  • Consider purchasing travel insurance and review the policy coverage details to see how it relates to COVID-19.

Cancellation Policy

Free cancellations within 48 hours of making the reservation. After 48 hours the cancellation below applies. All cancellations must be received in writing and are subject to the following penalty percentages of the total rental fee:

  • 20% from initial date of booking up to 30 days prior to the arrival date (the rental deposit is non-refundable, after 48 hours).
  • 50% if less than 30 days prior to the arrival date.
  • 100% if less than 15 days prior to the arrival date.

Sanitizing “High-Touch” Surfaces

Wiping down doorknobs, drawer & cabinet handles, electronics, faucets, kitchenware & appliances, etc.

Proper Staff Cleanliness Protocol

  • Staff follows health safety measures by wearing masks, gloves, and thoroughly washing their hands with soap for at least 20 seconds.
  • Not touching their eyes, nose, or mouth.
  • Practicing social distancing of at least 6 feet and refrain from shaking hands.
  • To seek immediate medical attention and staying home if they display symptoms of illness.

For Cleaning

  • Cleaners are all aware of our required standards as well as the staff.
  • The property will be disinfected after all cleaning is completed and then wiped again prior to next arrival.

Bedding & Linens

All are being properly cleaned using the guidelines of the VRMA and the CDC.

What You Can Do

You have already made a smart move by choosing a vacation home for your stay as it provides privacy and distance from crowds. Follow guidelines of social distancing and cleanliness when out-and-about. Bring along sanitizers when you leave the home, and wash your hands as soon as you re-enter the property. Consider preparing meals and snacks at the vacation home to avoid the need to eat out.
