Anna Maria Sunsets

Anna Maria Island Sunset

Beautiful Anna Maria Island (AMI) is a barrier island in the Gulf of Mexico well known for not only beautiful white-sand beaches and crystal waters but also its spectacular views as the sun sets into the Gulf. It’s no wonder that AMI is a beloved destination for waterfront weddings and special occasions. Locals and visitors alike make it a goal to come and enjoy a beach romp, a nice meal, and a soothing transition from day to night with a truly sensational view. Here are a few ideas of where to go on your Anna Maria Island getaway.

Bean Point

Bean Point is special due to the fact that this is where the Gulf of Mexico meets Tampa Bay on the northern end of the island. It’s known for being one of the most exclusive and private beach areas with a stretch of secluded white sand, making it a wonderful retreat to sit back, relax and enjoy the breathtaking views. Pack snacks and a blanket and stay for the calming glow of sunset. Bean Point is a hidden gem worth finding.

The winner receives a bottle of sparkling wine. A really unique dining experience.

Manatee Public Beach

This beautiful strand, also part of famous Holmes Beach, is one of the area’s top family beaches offering expanded parking, picnic tables, volleyball courts, a playground, restrooms, shower and changing cabanas, a gift shop, and is wheelchair accessible. Located right there and open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, is AMI Beach Café, a casual Gulf-front patio and indoor dining venue that features nightly live music as well as a spectacular view of the sunset.
